We will be having our Orange Shirt Day Assembly on Monday at 10:00.

Orange Shirt Day is an event that started in 2013. It was designed to educate people and promote awareness about the Indian residential school system and the impact this system had on Indigenous communities for more than a century in Canada.

No school tomorrow - PD day

The BBQ will be from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm.  We will be serving hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and juice, which can be paid for upon arrival.  

The cost per person is $4.00. 

During this time, we will also be running a series of Meet the Teacher sessions in the school for students in K-3.  

Sessions will run at the following times:

4:15 – 4:45

4:45 – 5:15

5:15 – 5:45

If you are unable to make it today, we will also be running one session on tomorrow morning from 9:00 – 9:30 am.  No sign up is required for this session either.

Important Information...

• Our class has a very exciting learning opportunity coming up in October.  We will be going to the Glenbow museum for an entire week! More information will be sent home within the next few weeks.  We will need five volunteers (who already have their police clearance, or who can get their clearance prior to Oct 21st) each day.  I wanted to let you know early enough for you to book the time off, if you are able to. Please email me if you know that you will be able to volunteer during our week ( Oct 21st) at the museum. gukaur@cbe.ab.ca
